Your Online Researcher Profile

What is an Online Researcher Profile?

The Online Researcher Profile facility gives you the opportunity to present yourself and your research online, on your university departmental webpages while you are at Sussex. This can enhance your profile as an early career researcher in your field and promote your research to the online academic community.

You can also present other achievements and experience and keep this information up to date to reflect your ongoing development as a professional researcher. Your Researcher Profile is situated alongside other researchers on the 'People' pages of the department in which you are registered.

How do I get one?

Doctoral Researchers are encouraged to attend a 'Developing your online profile' workshop to find out how to set up, develop and make the most of this facility. See Researcher Development events to book yourself onto a workshop. If there are no dates currently available, please add your name to the waiting list to be notified when a new date has been organised.

For those unable to attend a workshop we recommend that you follow the Study Direct E-Learning module, Developing your Sussex Online Profile, which offers step-by-step guidelines for setting up a profile.

By signing up for a Researcher Profile in Sussex Direct you are agreeing that your name and email address will be displayed on the University of Sussex webpages which are open to the public on the internet and searchable by search engines such as Google. This also applies to the information you subsequently enter onto your Online Researcher Profile.
