Collaborative research on the meteorological and botanical history of the Indian Ocean, 1600-1900
We are pleased to be able to inform you that the Centre for World Environmental History (CWEH – University of Sussex) have been successful in receiving funding through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) for the abovementioned research network.
The network will convene two meetings, one in the UK in December 2012 and the other in Delhi in 2013. These meetings will bring together academics concerned with the identification and use of historical botanical and climatic information to map the range of sources and discuss how to enhance collaborative use of the data. You are invited to attend the first meeting, which will be held at the University of Sussex on 5th and 6th December.
