A Right to Legal Aid?

Members of the Centre for Responsibilities, Rights and the Law have responded to a  Ministry of Justice Consultation paper CP14/2013, 4 June 2013.

Cultural Rights in Post Conflict Societies

A report drafted by Centre members has been considered at a major International Conference on Human Rights and Culture hosted by the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission in co-operation with the UN Special Rapporteur in the Field of Cultural Rights.  The report, on Cultural Rights in Post Conflict Societies, was commissioned by the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission and the research provided by Dr Elizabeth Craig (Law), Stratis Efthymiou (PhD candidate Sociology) and Ciara O’Connell (PhD candidate Law).  A set of recommendations were discussed and it is the intention that these, that along with the report, will be tabled at the UN early 2014.  For further info, see http://www.nihrc.org/index.php/news/item/717.

Future of the European Court of Human Rights:
