Local Travel from Brighton hotels to the Symposium venue
Taxi
To get from your Hotel (central Brighton) to the Conference Venue, a taxi will take 20 minutes (and cost £10).

Bus
Alternatively you can walk 5 minutes from seafront hotels in Brighton, up to the road in front of the main shopping area (Churchill Square) then take the No 25 Bus which runs every 10 minutes and takes 20 minutes. This bus goes direct to the University, onto the campus, and stops right outside the conference venue (Bramber house, top floor. Buy a ‘City Saver’ (run-around) ticket for £4 (you can use the same ticket to take you back to the hotel in the evening).

Trains

Trains to/from Falmer Station (University of Sussex) to/from Brighton Station leave every 15 minutes. The journey takes 8 minutes; the walk from Falmer station to the Conference Centre takes 10 minutes; and the walk from Brighton Station to the Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel, for example, takes 15 minutes).

Car Parking on the  Sussex Campus

Please select a space in any of the main car parks.  Please do not try to use the "Visitor's carpark".   This has a barrier entry by password only.
The nearest car park to the Symposium venue is Park no. 10, just north of the Bramber House conference centre where we are meeting.  See this campus map: http://www.sussex.ac.uk/aboutus/downloads/findus/campusmap.pdf
Participants need not pay the £6 per day parking charge in the parking machines.  Request a parking voucher when you check in at the Symposium venue.  You will have to return to your car to display the voucher in the windscreen.
