Work shadowing for foundation and 1st years

Applications for work shadowing are now open.

What is work shadowing and why should I do it?

Work shadowing is a great opportunity to gain work experience in a career area which interests you. Whether it changes your thinking or confirms the path you would like to take, it is a good addition to your CV. Short term opportunities can also open doors with companies and lead to longer-term opportunities in the future.

How do I apply and what is funded?

Applications are made using a CV and cover letter, and a link to new opportunities will be advertised here from October 2019. The University will reimburse reasonable travel expenses.

How long is the commitment?

All the work-shadowing opportunities which we source are two days long and exclusively for foundation and first-year students. A majority of those opportunities are in Brighton and the South East but we can also support you in arranging your own if you have a company in mind.
