China Internship Programme for 2nd years

First-Generation Scholars in the second year of undergraduate study can apply to spend 4 or 8 weeks in mainland China over the summer, undertaking work experience while finding out more about the unique culture of the country. The programme is fully funded by the University of Sussex and is part of the British Council Generation UK-China initiative, facilitating work experience in China.

You must hold a valid UK or EU passport to apply.

Application update: due to a high volume of applications, the 4-week programme will be closed on Sunday 21 January at midnight. We recommend submitting an application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Applications to the 8-week programme will remain open as normal.

CRCC Asia and InternChina deliver the programmes in Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Zhuhai. The programmes are 4 or 8 weeks long and include an introduction to Chinese culture, language lessons and an internship with a host organisation.

Internships are offered in a wide range of industries including business, engineering, finance & accounting, healthcare & pharmaceutical, information & technology, legal and NGOs.
