Graduate Outcomes
The Graduate Outcomes survey is undertaken 15 months after students have completed their studies. The first undergraduate cohort to be surveyed was for the 2017/18 academic year.
- 84% of UK full time undergraduate leavers were in work, work and study or further study
- 69% of employed UK full time undergraduate leavers were in graduate level work
- 62% of UK full time undergraduate leavers identified work as their most important activity
- 12% of UK full time undergraduate leavers were in both employment and further study
- 12% of UK full time undergraduate leavers were solely in further study/training
- 12% of UK full time undergraduate leavers were unemployed
SIC2007 results shows that the top 3 industries employing University of Sussex leavers were Human health and social work, Professional, scientific and technical activities; and Information and communication.
Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE)
Until 2017, the Careers and Employability Centre researched what Sussex graduates and postgraduates did six months after graduating, as part of the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey.
