There have been a number of national initiatives seeking to ensure high standards in improving researchers’ careers and mobility. Two key ones have been:
- the UK Quality Code for Higher Education
- the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers (The Concordat)
In addition, the Research Councils UK study into doctoral career pathways looks at how researchers drive forward innovation and growth, and the resulting impact on the UK.
