Mosaics commissioned by Flavius Ricimerus, (405-472, Roman consul 459).  Apse with mosaics fell into ruin 1589/1592
Note accompanies 13 drawings dd. to 16th century:  Christ and 12 apostles. All apostles have bluish tunic with two darker blue bands, mantle shaded with brown, sandals.  Not nimbed.  Other colours: chestnut, white, Christ on azure globe, left hand on open book.  Blue tunic, wide yellow clavus, violet mantle, sandals.
