Originally church belonging to the nunnery of S. Theodosia.  Erected by Basil I at end of 9th C. in 1490 the ruined church was converted into a mosque.  
According to Mathews, the structure has to be 1000-1150, so if the mosiac is there to must be the same date.  We have therefore presently chosen to list it as 11th.
