Staff wishing to apply for voluntary severance are reminded that the scheme closes on Monday (June 29) at 9am and the online application process will shut down at this time so it will not be possible to make any applications.
The Voluntary Severance (VS) Scheme was launched on 27 May and since then staff have had a number of opportunities to find out more about the scheme.
Peter Brook, interim HR director said: “We would like to remind people that once the scheme closes at 9am next Monday, no submissions will be accepted after that date.
“We’ve had lots of questions from staff across the institution which we have answered and provided updated FAQs on our webpages.
“It’s not too late to ask questions and you can do this today by emailing the HR email address.”
Staff who have questions can email HRVS2020@sussex.ac.uk.
There’s also a wide range of information available on the VS webpages.
Two webinars have been held this week for people to learn about the outplacement offering. This offering includes:
- creating a standout CV
- LinkedIn profile
- job search
- self-employment
- transitioning to retirement
If staff do want to remind themselves about the scheme they can:
- email HRVS2020@sussex.ac.uk to ask a question or to request a call from a member of the HR team to discuss in confidence any question on Voluntary Severance
- find out how to apply
- read our FAQs
- review the Outplacement offer
- view a recording of one of the events online on our How to find out more webpage
- read the View from the VC – which outlines why the VS Scheme is needed.
