Catch up with your essential staff e-learning

This period when many of us find ourselves working from home may offer an opportunity for you to catch up with your essential staff e-learning.

All staff online courses are available on LearnUpon, the University’s learning platform for staff, which is designed to help you complete essential training at your convenience.

How to access online courses

To review your enrolments and take a course, go to the Organisational Development web pages.

Click on the green button; please open this link in a Google Chrome browser if possible, as some of the courses work only in Chrome.

Then log into LearnUpon with your University of Sussex username (e.g. ano12@sussex.ac.uk or bsms1234@sussex.ac.uk) and password.

How to start or retake a course

You will find a list of courses on your LearnUpon dashboard. To start a course, simply click the title.

Once you have finished a course you must close it by clicking the small grey x in the top right-hand corner of the module window - otherwise your progress won’t be saved.

Mandatory training

  • Diversity in the Workplace is essential for all staff
  • All staff are also required to complete GDPR and Freedom of Information
  • Unconscious Bias is recommended for all staff and essential for those on grades 7 and above
  • Recruitment and Selection should be completed by all staff involved with recruitment, including those sitting on interview panels
  • If you are enrolled on the Prevent programme, please complete it as a matter of priority

Further information

Please email learnupon@sussex.ac.uk if you have any questions about accessing courses or problems completing them, and the Organisational Development team will do their best to help.
