Keeping you informed about Brexit

It is likely that the UK will leave the EU on 31 January 2020. Once the withdrawal deal is ratified by the European Parliament, EU law will remain in place during a transition period at least until 31 December 2020.

We want to make sure you have all the information you need during this current period.

How to keep informed:

  • Register now to attend the Vice Chancellor’s Brexit open staff forum on Tuesday 4 February. This event will give staff an opportunity to hear about the preparations the University has made for the UK’s departure from the EU, and pose questions to Adam Tickell about this.

  • Go to the University’s Brexit Hub which is regularly updated with help and advice for staff and students about topics such as citizens' rights; the EU Settlement Scheme; healthcare; funding opportunities; travel; and the Erasmus scheme. For any other queries please contact HR: / ext. 7769

  • Keep an eye out for information about new Brexit webinars for staff and students coming soon. The most recent webinar was hosted by Michelle Gordon, Director of External Affairs and Bridget Edminson, General Counsel and Director of Governance in October 2019.
