Celebrating Children's Lives: A 'call to action' event

Wednesday 19 February 12:30 until 16:30
Conference Centre, Bramber House
Speaker: Sir Al Aynsley Green, the first Children’s Commissioner for England (2005-09)

This event, facilitated by Professor Saul Becker and Citizens UK, Brighton, is hosted by the Centre for Innovation and Research in Childhood and Youth (CIRCY) and the Centre for Social Work Innovation and Research (CSWIR) in conjunction with the Sussex Student Union.

The event provides a unique and important opportunity to focus on ‘action-centred’ conversations and planning about children’s lives today with an overall event objective of developing a bespoke action plan for child-focused work in Brighton and the surrounding area.

Alongside a national overview of the state of children’s lives in the 21st Century, the event will involve action-focused engagement activities to identify and implement co-constructed and co-produced local events which will seek to enhance children’s wellbeing and promote children’s voices on and views about their own lives.

More details to follow nearer the time.
