“Henri Tajfel: Explorer of Identity and Different” was published last Friday 18 October 2019

This coming Thursday we are celebrating the career of Professor Rupert Brown with a special Psychology Colloquium. As part of the event, Rupert will be presenting his latest book, Henri Tajfel: Explorer of Identity and Difference. Using a wide range of sources including interviews, archival material, letters, photographs and research publications, this book explores the life and academic career of Henri Tajfel, one of the most influential European social psychologists of the 20th Century.

Rupert is retiring this month after being at Sussex for over fifteen years. He has published multiple works on intergroup relations, prejudice, acculturation and social perception, and led the Sussex Hate Crime Project. Rupert is also the recipient of the Henri Tajfel medal for a lifetime contribution to social psychology, awarded by the European Association of Social Psychology.
