Code First: Girls - free 8-week coding course for female students

Do you want to gain invaluable tech skills and find out how to code your own website?

Good news! Code First:Girls, a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides women with coding education to kick-start a career in technology, will be running free part-time coding courses for female/non-binary students at the University of Sussex this autumn term.

Applications are now open. The courses will run for 8 weeks on a Thursday evening for two hours. You can find more information below and on the Code First:Girls website.

Course name: Level 1 Introduction to Front-end Web Development
Course dates: Thursday 24 October to Thursday 12 December, 6.30-8.30pm on campus
Open to: Any student who identifies as female or non-binary, and is a complete beginner in coding. You cannot apply if you have taken part in a Code First:Girls course previously.
Application: Complete the application form via the Code First:Girls website.
Application deadline: Thursday 10 October

Code First:Girls will get in touch with you by Thursday 17 October to let you know if you have been successful in securing a place on the course.

Please note courses running are dependent on a minimum number of student applications. Whilst we endeavour to run the course, this is not something we can guarantee. Please do help us spread the word by sharing the application form with others.
