Campus works impacting roads, access and parking

Essential work continues across campus to improve our facilities and infrastructure. We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

This update should give you an indication of work that is planned for the coming week and how this might affect you.

Car parks

  • P1 Science car park: open
  • P2 Falmer Sports Complex: open
  • P3 Biology Road car park: open (20 spaces closed)
  • P4 Sussex House car park: open (16 spaces closed)
  • P5 Sport Centre car park: open
  • P7 Jubilee car park: open
  • P7a Arts car park: open
  • P8 Park Village car park: open
  • P9 Lewes Court car park: open
  • P11 Knights Gate car park: open

Fencing installation at Sussex House car park

To facilitate the installation of low-level fencing in Sussex House car park (P4), 16 spaces will be closed until Thursday 12 September along the north-east corner of the car park.

Roads, access and other works

Road resurfacing works across campus

We will be undertaking road repairs and resurfacing works across campus from Tuesday 17 to Thursday 19 September. You may experience brief delays on main campus roads including North-South Road, Refectory Road and Boiler House Hill.

Roadworks on Stony Mere Way

Brighton & Hove City Council are currently undertaking roadworks on Stony Mere Way, at the entrance to Stanmer Park, with traffic management in place. Although these works are not being undertaken by the University, please be aware of the possibility of brief delays when arriving or leaving campus via this route.
