University continues to offer students a range of rents in 2020-21

After consultation with the Students’ Union, the University has agreed with Council (its governing body) a new range of on-campus accommodation rents for 2020-21, published below.

The new rents will be outlined on the University’s online housing pages from September, so as not to confuse incoming students applying for accommodation during the summer months for the upcoming academic year 2019-20.

As in previous years, the University has focused on providing quality and affordable accommodation on campus at a range of price points and has retained lower cost rents as construction continues of the new East Slope residences.

Francine Hill, Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities Management, said: “We’re very pleased that we can offer our students a range of accommodation, with many options on campus. We have worked to ensure that we maintain a good proportion of lower cost rooms.

“We will continue working with the Students’ Union and its elected officers as housing plans develop.”

Students can find help with their housing needs through the Housing Services team on campus and at the Information Centre [91 Lewes Road – map link], which is now also home to a branch of Sussex Student Lettings, run by the Students’ Union.

The new weekly on-campus rents for 2020-21, which have been agreed in consultation with the Students’ Union, are:
