Professor Sue Millns to leave Sussex

Professor Sue Millns

Professor Sue Millns, the current interim Head of School for LPS, since January this year, will be leaving Sussex at the end of August, for a new position as Dean of the Graduate College at Christ Church University, Canterbury, nearer to her family home.

Provost Saul Becker said: “We are going to miss Sue very much, she has been not only an excellent leader of LPS since the beginning of the year, but also a real driving force behind the success of the School and in particular our strong reputation for the study of Law.

“Thank you Sue for bringing so much to Sussex. We wish you all the very best at Christ Church and I hope you reap the benefits the new location brings to your daily life.”

Deputy Head of LPS, Professor Heather Keating, will take over as interim Head of LPS - a role she has covered on two previous occasions.

Professor Millns’s departure marks a long career at Sussex, where she has taken on many different roles over the past 13 years.

This included four years as Co-Director of the Sussex European Institute and three years as Head of the Sussex Law School.
