Roads, access and other works

Refectory Road overnight closure

To allow for essential East Slope hoarding installation, Refectory Road will be closed completely overnight on Wednesday 17 April, from 9.30pm to 7.00am. Access for emergencies and Blue Badge holders will still be available. Please be aware of this closure if you plan to leave your vehicle overnight in Park Village or Lewes Court car parks, or any other space north of Refectory Road.

Traffic control at Sussex House

The traffic lights at Sussex House will be removed over the weekend following the completion of roadworks. Road access will return to normal on Monday 1 April.

Southern Ring Road lane closure cancelled

Major substation works have begun on the Southern Ring Road next to Biology Road car park (P3). However, this work will no longer require a lane closure in the area, with both lanes now remaining open. Temporary traffic control may be established as needed as the works continue.

Boiler House Hill corner works

The first phase of pump house works on the top corner of Boiler House Hill (turning onto Eastern Ring Road) will begin next Monday 1 April, lasting until the end of April. This will not necessitate road closures, but during this period there will be single-lane closures with traffic lights in place.

Lancaster House resurfacing

Lancaster House Road resurfacing was deferred to avoid impacting an applicant visitor day. The rescheduled date will be communicated once confirmed.
