Roads, access and other works

A27 westbound carriageway closure

Due to resurfacing works on the A27, the westbound carriageway will be closed entirely overnight between 8pm and 6am for the duration of next week, lasting from Monday 18 to Friday 22 March. Drivers should use the west entrance to campus only during this closure. More detailed information is available on the Sussex news item.

Traffic control at Sussex House

Traffic lights are now in place to manage road repairs and the installation of a pedestrian crossing outside of Sussex House, with roadworks necessitating a single lane closure. Please be aware of potential traffic delays while these works are ongoing.

The path widening works at the junction of Sussex House and BSMS have been completed, with new pavements now in place.

Southern Ring Road lane closure

One lane on the corner of the Southern Ring Road by Biology Road car park (P3) will be closed for the remainder of 2019 to facilitate major substation works, beginning from Monday 25 March. 16 spaces in Biology Road car park will also be closed for the rest of the year.

Boiler House Hill corner works

The first phase of pump house works on the top corner of Boiler House Hill (turning onto Eastern Ring Road) will begin on Monday 1 April, lasting until the end of April. This will not necessitate road closures.

Lancaster House resurfacing

Lancaster House Road will be closed for three hours on Sunday 24 March, from 10am to 1pm, to resurface the pedestrian path and differentiate it from the road. Pedestrians will be redirected around Lancaster House towards Park Village.
