Vote in the student elections this week

Your Students' Union elections are taking place this week. Voting opened on Monday 4 March and will close on Friday 8 March at 5.00pm.

This year your full-time officers have:

  • worked with Decolonise Sussex to diversify reading lists across campus
  • helped set up the brand new Northfield Bar
  • worked with the University to bring back Varsity
  • expanded ‘Free Periods’ to become ‘Free Wednesdays’

...and much more!

It’s up to you to decide who leads the Union in 2019/20.

The full-time positions you can vote for are:

  • President
  • Welfare Officer
  • Undergraduate Education Officer
  • Postgraduate Education Officer
  • Activities Officer
  • Society and Citizenship Officer

As well as these you can vote for part-time officer roles, student trustees and NUS conference delegates.

You can view the candidate manifestos, then easily vote online at sussexstudent.com/elections.

Or you can vote in person at one of the polling booths around campus. All you need to do is bring along your student ID to vote.

During the rest of this week, polling booths will be at the following locations from 11.00am to 3.00pm:

  • Tuesday - Library, Freeman lobby
  • Wednesday - The Clubhouse (Falmer Sports Complex), Library
  • Thursday - Jubilee atrium, Library
  • Friday - Falmer House quad, Freeman lobby

There will also be a booth in Falmer House reception all week.
