Your wellbeing: take part in University Mental Health Day and Sussex Wellbeing Week

Wellbeing Week 2019

This Thursday (7 March) is University Mental Health Day. It also marks the start of Sussex Wellbeing Week 2019.

Run in partnership between the University and your Students' Union, Wellbeing Week aims to:

  • raise awareness of wellbeing issues
  • empower you to look after your own wellbeing
  • give you vital information about where to find advice and support.

We know that being at university can be challenging and demanding at times. Wellbeing Week is an opportunity to take some time out, to relax and to discover new tools and techniques.

Highlights include:

  • 10-minute plays on mental health by The Caravan Theatre
  • finding out how, contrary to popular belief, video games can promote good mental health
  • Sleepless in Sussex insomnia workshops
  • free massage
  • yoga
  • mindfulness
  • the ever-popular Doggy De-stress – also featuring some ponies!

You can also sign up to workshops on dealing with failure and managing the challenges of group work.
