Alumni join first of its kind networking event in Brighton

The end of term has seen over a hundred recent graduates and staff attending alumni social at the British Airways i360 in Brighton.

The guests, who were invited to an evening of socialising, reminiscing and networking, met fellow alumni from the last ten years at a drinks reception, before gliding up to 450ft and enjoying 360-degree panoramic views of Brighton and the south coast.

As well as being introduced to the Sussex Alumni Network and the benefits of membership, over drinks, guests were introduced to Sussex Connect, our new, exclusive networking and mentoring platform for current students and alumni, and engaged in lively discussions with the Students’ Union and University staff, making the most of the balmy evening.

Attendees also provided feedback on what kind of events they would find useful, with a live poll and, during the flight, they were invited to take part in selfie competition though posting their photos on social media, with alumna Jade Gill (Business and Management Studies 2015) going home with a bottle of Breaky Bottom Cuvée Sir Harry Kroto and a Sussex teddy.
