Knights Gate car park opens

The Knights Gate car park, situated on the east side of the campus, opens to drivers on Monday 18 June at 8.30am and will offer around 60 new spaces for holders of a University permit or pass to park.

The creation of the car park was combined with other works that have seen alterations and improvements to the entrances of the adjacent CISC and SHORE-C buildings, as well installation of new footpaths in the area.

Six spaces in the new car park have been reserved for patients visiting the Clinical Imaging Sciences Centre (CISC); however, the new car park will not include other visitor parking via pay and display or pay by phone.

The opening of the Knights Gate car park, together with the new Jubilee multi-storey car park, ensures that maximum parking capacity continues to be maintained on campus.

Combined, the new car parks offer over 400 new spaces, more than compensating for the closure of East Slope car park from 8pm on the evening of Friday 15 June.
