An inspiring host and great food & wine will bring Sussex alumni together in Bath, Thursday 11 October 2018

Sussex alumna Rachel Demuth

AFRAS alumna, Rachel Demuth, has extended an open invitation to Sussex alumni for a get-together at Demuths Cookery School

The set menu will include food and wine with a cookery demonstration, followed by some healthy reminiscing about those halcyon student days.

Rachel, founder of Demuths Cookery School and one of the UK’s leading plant-based chefs, will open her school doors at 6pm on Thursday 11 October 2018.

Demuths Cookery School specialises in vegetarian and vegan cooking. Offering a wide variety of classes across different cuisines and skill levels, Demuths Cookery School inspires plant-based ways of working with food and aims to impress students with variety and flavour, using fresh, locally-sourced and seasonal produce, as well as introducing more unfamiliar ingredients.

After hearing from Rachel about her journey from Sussex to establishing Demuths Cookery School, there will be a cookery demonstration showcasing the best seasonal recipes, followed by nibbles, wine and an opportunity to socialise with other alumni.

There is no charge for this event, but Rachel has requested that alumni and guests make a gift to the Sussex Fund when reserving their places (which are limited). You can book your place and make your gift here. The Sussex Fund helps all students encountering difficulties with mental health & wellbeing while studying at Sussex.
