Change the Game, with Lewis Hatchett

Former professional cricketer Lewis Hatchett played at Sussex County Cricket Club for six years before being forced to retire on medical advice in 2016 at the age of 26.

But his story within professional sport is unlike one you may have heard before.

Lewis was born with Poland Syndrome, a rare condition that appears in around one in 100,000 births, for reasons still unknown, and manifests itself with several problems down one side of the body.

Having played professional cricket with a physical disability for six years, Lewis overcame obstacles - both physically and mentally - to achieve his dream.

Hear him share his experiences on Monday 9 April, at 6pm in Jubilee 144.

Guaranteed to give an inspiring and fascinating talk for sports and non-sports fans alike, Lewis will speak about the lessons he learned from his journey, such as standing out from the crowd, rising above the talent pool, finding your own strengths and viewing yourself differently.
