Industrial Secondment Fund open for applications

Sussex Research is delighted to announce the launch of a new initiative for Sussex faculty. The Industrial Secondment Fund will provide an opportunity for secondments for Sussex faculty and employees of UK companies.

The purpose of the scheme is to build and develop relationships with industrial partners and undertake activity which may potentially lead to funding. Secondments can be short and discontinuous or the first steps in building a long-term collaborative partnership. The funds can be used for both inward (to the University) and outward (to the company) secondments and an application can be a single one-way secondment or include both.

The scope of the secondment is purposely broad to enable the applicant to express what is best for their particular need and activity. Applications which address the challenge areas of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund are particularly encouraged.

The Industrial Secondment Fund is open to academic staff from all disciplines and all career stages. There is no dealine and applications can be submitted at any time; however, secondments must have taken place by 31 July 2018.

If you are interested in applying and would like to discuss your idea, please contact Debbie Foy-Everett in Research and Enterprise Services.
