Sussex invests in PhD scholarships
An advert in today’s edition (Thursday 8 December) of Times Higher Education (THE) highlights the support that Sussex provides to research students.
The advert summarises the research council, University-wide and school awards - worth over £4.6 million in total – that are available to new research students starting at Sussex in autumn 2012.
“As we celebrate our 50th anniversary we aim to build on our research strengths by offering up to 82 full and partial PhD scholarships to attract the best possible doctoral researchers,” reads the advert.
The scholarships are available in all subject areas across the arts, sciences and social sciences.

The THE advert forms part of an ongoing campaign throughout 2011-12 to recruit more doctoral students to Sussex.
