Near Miss for Sussex in THE Ranking
From Professor Ian Davidson, Head of School
You may have noticed that Sussex was not included in a recent edition of the Times Higher Ranking of Top UK Institutions in Economics and Business; the reason being that we did not meet the volume threshold. More's the pity! I have been informed that had we been included we would have ranked 2nd in the country behind the London Business School (and therefore ahead of Nottingham, Warwick, LSE, Cam-bridge, Oxford, Leeds etc.). Well done everyone - this is a great achievement even if not many people are going to hear about it! However, I have already had emails from some other universities congratulating us and wanting to know what we are doing, so the message is getting out there somehow! Let's hope that we are big enough to be included next time round.
