The School of Business, Management and Economics at the University of Sussex are pleased to announce the 4th Young Finance Scholars Conference.

12-13 June 2017, Jubilee Building, University of Sussex campus

This conference has been growing in popularity since the first event in 2014. It provides an opportunity for PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and other young finance scholars to share their research, discuss and debate on their methodologies and approaches, network with their peers and receive expert comments and advice from leading researchers, including editors of some key journals in the field. 

Conference theme

Papers from all areas of Banking and Finance are presented in parallel sessions. The theme for Keynote talks at this year’s event is Commodity and Environmental Markets and the parallel sessions on this theme are associated with a special issue of The Journal of Commodity Markets.

Best Paper Award

An award of £250 for best overall conference paper, and £50 for the best papers in each parallel stream, will be presented at the end of the conference.
