These are our main reseach projects:
Electrical Impedance Tomography
Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) (Dr David Li)
On-chip FLIM processing (Dr David Li)
Biomedical Image Analysis (Dr Carlos Reyes Aldosoro)
New Research Students
We are always pleased to receive applications from well-qualified students wishing to work with us for the Sussex PhD degree. In particular, we welcome projects ideas in the areas below, or closely-related topics. Potential students can contact faculty direct with an initial enquiry, or can make an immediate on-line application.

Profile and Contact information
Personal Website
Dr Reyes-Aldasoro would like to guide students through their PhD if they are interested in any aspect of biomedical image analysis. This is a very large area and covers applications from oncology to inflammation and techniques from traditional image processing to pattern recognition to bioinformatics. Experience in biology or medicine is not a requirement, but interest to learn more about it and strong engineering / computing background is necessary. Alternatively, if you are interested in a Visiting Studentship or Fellowship, there is always room for brilliant minds.
