Biography
I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Information Systems in the School of Business, Management and Economics at the University of Sussex, UK; a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA); and the Secretary of the IFIP Working Group 9.5 on Virtuality and Society.
Following my BSc (hons) in Economics (Piraeus; 2001-2006) and MSc in Management and Strategic Information Systems (Bath; 2006-2007), and a short management career in Madrid, Spain (2008-2009), I returned to Bath to pursue my PhD with the support of an EPSRC scholarship (2009-2014). I then worked as a Research Associate (Post-doc) at Royal Holloway, University of London (2013-2015), and was appointed Lecturer at Sussex in early 2015. I was given tenure in May 2017. I have also taught at the University of Bath (2010-2012), at Birkbeck, University of London (2015), and at the University of Valencia, Spain (2016-2017). I speak English, Greek and Spanish fluently, and German and Portuguese at intermediate level.
I teach in the areas of information systems, project management, innovation management, and research methods, and I am involved in numerous research project supervisions (at the BSc, MSc, MBA, and PhD levels). My research focuses on the management of technology-mediated dispersed environments, such as dispersed (virtual) teams and dispersed (online) communities, as well as on the management of work-life boundaries in the digital age. I have published 4 journal articles, 7 book chapters, and 28 conference items (click here for my extant publications). I have also (co-)organized 5 tracks/sessions at international conferences. I finally maintain strong links with practitioners through research-informed workshops, consultancy and executive training within my areas of expertise.

Community and Business
Consultancy
I often engage with practitioners through consultancy work and executive training, advising businesses on issues relative to leadership, creativity and innovation within the context of virtual projects, agile work environments, and globally dispersed teams.
Visual & Online Dissemination Outputs
My research has begun to be disseminated to non-academic communities through innovative ways. Take, for example, a look at an interactive brochure summarizing some key findings from the Digital Brain Switch project, or watch the two recent videos below in which I (w/ colleagues) speak about these findings.

Practitioner Workshops
I (w/ colleagues) have been organizing and delivering workshops in which we interact with businesses, policymakers, HR professionals, and others, in our effort to disseminate our research findings. See for example:
