Speaker: Professor Maurice Howard OBE, Professor Emeritus of Art History, University of Sussex

Join renowned Art Historian, Professor Maurice Howard, OBE for an alumni reception at The Cappella Orsini in central Rome.

We are delighted to host the event in the historic venue, The Cappella Orsini, which was built in the 12th century on the ruins of the theater of Pompeus the Great, where Julius Caesar was murdered.

He is a former President of the Society of Antiquaries of London and of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain. He taught the arts of Renaissance and Baroque Europe for many years and is a veteran of the annual Art History study trip to Italy for undergraduate students.

You will have the opportunity to meet with current Sussex Art History students who will be ending their trip in Rome, as well as locally based alumni at the reception.

Places are limited, so please book below if you would like to attend.
