Postgraduate taught students

What are the important dates for me?

The most important date is that teaching starts on Thursday 20th September 2012. Further information on term dates can be found

The postgraduate registration period ends formally on 30th September 2013.

Does this affect my accommodation?

Postgraduate students in University managed accommodation have tenancies for 50 weeks. It commences on Saturday 15th September 2012 and ends on Saturday 7th September 2013.

Is my course changing?

We are not changing the subject or the title of the degree you are studying for, or the overall content of the degree. Postgraduate programmes are already within the 15 or 30 credit framework and therefore it is unlikely there will be changes to your courses.

Postgraduate research students

The review of taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes will not have any impact on your current research programme. You do need to know that the structure of the academic year is changing but this will not affect your studies. Monday 17th September 2012 is induction for new students and the autum term and teaching starts on Thursday 20th September 2012. For further details of term dates see link to Term Dates
