Report from AMBeR project on plagiarism penalties used by UK HEIs (June 2007)

The issue of plagiarism is a growing academic concern, and one that the University of Sussex takes seriously. The aim of these pages is to provide:

  • advice and guidance to both students and staff on how plagiarism can be prevented
  • advice to staff on how to identify plagiarism in an effective and time-efficient manner
  • details of the University of Sussex regulations and procedures for dealing with suspected cases of plagiarism
  • information on the penalties for cases where plagiarism has been identified
  • a centralised source of information on plagiarism (appropriate web links / documents / research)
  • information on plagiarism events / seminars / conferences both within the University and nationally
