Salary range:  starting at £14,905 and rising to £16,540 per annum, pro rata.  It is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.

Description

An opportunity has arisen in the University Library for a part time Grade 2 Clerical Assistant to work in the Administration section. The successful applicant will work an 18.25 hour week as part of the small Administration Team providing clerical support for communications, marketing, staff welfare, health & safety and cash management. 

As the postholder will be primarily responsible for producing Library publications, web pages, servicing meetings (taking & producing minutes) and assisting with marketing; experience of these areas would be an advantage, while experience of working with desktop publishing and web pages is essential. 

Absolute discretion, flexibility, good oral and written communication skills and experience of working as part of a team are essential to this post. Experience of working in a similar post in HE or an academic library would be an advantage. 

The successful candidate will also be involved in general Library duties including shelving.
