Description

The school of Media, Film and Music at the University of Sussex is seeking a research active lecturer/senior lecturer in interactive media practice, with a specialism in interactive media/social media platforms design.

Media and Film at Sussex has an increasingly high reputation nationally and internationally. We are fifth in key league tables, have a strong team of internationally recognized researchers, including creative practitioners, and are extending and building new courses.

The person appointed will have an established research record and international profile, primarily in creative practice, and a proven interest in the integration of theory and practice. They will be able to teach modules in digital media (such as web design, social media, interactive project design, new forms of graphic design, animation or similar), and also be able to supervise independent projects across a range of digital media at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. They will have experience of teaching at undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels, and be able to supervise practice based doctoral students. They will be willing to teach and inspire students at all levels and to take a full part in the School.
