Description
An experienced Project Manager is sought to enable the delivery of a project to improve both the efficiency and the effectiveness of assessment methods and approaches.
The person appointed will report to the Director of IT Services and will be responsible to the DVC (Teaching and Learning) as project sponsor for providing the day-to-day leadership and management of the project, through all aspects of the project life cycle, co-ordinating the project team members, and liaising closely with the Academic Registry and the Schools.
An understanding of the Education sector especially in relation to assessment and feedback processes would be desirable; as would knowledge of the range of technologies available to systematise and improve the administration of the whole assessment cycle from submission of work to assessment and feedback.
A sound track record of undertaking and managing large-scale projects with a significant IT element, within a complex organisation will be essential as will be the ability to manage multiple project streams and build effective relationships with, and command the respect of, a wide range of stakeholders, including senior staff members.
