The School of Life Sciences is at the forefront of research in the biological sciences in the UK, coming in the top 10 in the REF 2014.
As part of the development of Sussex Neuroscience, a new laboratory has been established at the University of Sussex. We are seeking an experienced neuroscientist with proven expertise in electrophysiology.
The project is concerned with mouse sensory discrimination behavioural tasks. You will be able to design and build the experimental apparatus, establish a training schedule, manage the experiments, perform recordings of neuronal activity, and analyse the results.
An inquisitive mind, strong practical skills and the ability to make individual contributions in a team setting are essential.
