Careers Fair 2017 exhibitor terms and conditions
Completing the booking form does not guarantee a place at the event. All vacancies being promoted at the fair must meet our code of practice. We may also be unable to accept your booking if the zone you select is fully subscribed.
Your booking will be confirmed or otherwise with an email from us within five working days of you submitting the form. If you don’t hear by this time, please get in touch with Jocelyn Owen.
Final joining instructions will be emailed to you at least two weeks before the event.
Should you have to cancel your fair booking, let us know as soon as possible in writing by emailing Jocelyn Owen or Liz Vassilakes.
Cancellations received within 28 days of the event will not be eligible for a refund (i.e. on or after Wednesday 11 October 2017) and will be charged at the full invoice amount. If you cancel before Wednesday 11 October 2017, you will receive a full refund.
Location of exhibition stands
Sponsors of the fair will be invited to choose their stand location. All other exhibitors will be allocated stand locations by the organisers, on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a particular location preference please let us know and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.
The organisers reserve the right to allocate exhibitors to stand locations.
Space is restricted and there is an absolute limit on the size of individual stands:
- maximum width of stand: 3m
- maximum depth of stand: 2m
- maximum height of stand: 2.4m.
You should indicate your stand size (if known) on the booking form so that the organisers can plan the venue layout. The organisers reserve the right to refuse the erection of oversized stands.
Lunch and refreshments
Lunch and refreshments for two representatives are included in the booking fee. Additional refreshments/lunches will not be available on the day and must be pre-booked. The deadline for booking additional representatives for your stand will be Friday 27 October 2017. The rate is £15 + VAT per representative and will include refreshments throughout the day and lunch.
Marketing the fair
The Universities make every effort to promote the fair widely, but cannot guarantee student interest in all exhibitors. To maximize attendance at your stand, please ensure you provide us with full information on the booking form to allow us to target marketing, this includes uploading your vacancies (for free) to our jobs portal.
Delivery of exhibitors’ equipment to the fair venue prior to the event may be possible and must be pre-arranged. Contact Jocelyn Owen to make arrangements.
The Universities assume no liability for loss or damage of exhibitors’ equipment. Exhibitors will be responsible for the removal of equipment and any materials/property used by them during the event. Any equipment to be collected more than one hour after the close of the event must be pre-arranged with the organisers.
Payment and invoicing
An invoice will be sent to the exhibitor by post after the completion of the event by the University of Brighton. Payments are to be made to the University of Brighton within 30 days of the date shown on the invoice. If the invoice should be sent to someone other than the person making the booking, it is essential you indicate this and give details when booking. Please ensure you provide the correct legal identity of your company for invoicing purposes. If you use purchase orders, please give us the number so that we can quote this on your invoice.
