The School seeks to appoint a Technician to provide an effective and efficient technical service within the University for staff and students with a specialism in supporting technical requirements in Music.
Working as part of a small team, the role involves checking proper functioning of equipment and correcting minor faults, working in the MFM Equipment Stores, setting up and maintaining music recording spaces, rehearsal, recital and practice spaces; assisting users from across campus with a focus on Music specific users; using the online booking system (SiSo) and acting as a liaison with IT Services.
Applicants should be competent in using and understanding music lab equipment and music resources including acoustic and electronic musical instruments.
