Open to all HEKSS trainees at ST3 and above
This exciting post has been approved by Health England Kent Surrey and Sussex (HEKSS) as an OOPE (out of programme experience) for 12 months commencing on 3rd October 2018. As it is funded by HEKSS the post is only open to current HEKSS trainees at/beyond ST3 level. This will be our third year of running this post.
This is a full time educational post with no clinical commitments. The post will be based within the Department of Medical Education at BSMS located at Mayfield House, University of Brighton, Falmer campus.
The post will be supervised by Dr Juliet Wright, Director of Undergraduate Teaching & Learning and Dr Julia Montgomery, Senior Lecturer in Medical Education.
The post holder will be involved in the teaching and assessment of the BSMS undergraduate curriculum. The principal responsibility of this post is to run the innovative undergraduate career mentorship programme. The post holder will contribute to admissions, teach on our Teacher Support Course (TIME) and our postgraduate clinical MSc programmes dependant on their specialty. During your time it will be expected that you will undertake medical educational research and be fully involved in the day to day running of a medical school.
