An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Student Management Information and Data Officer to join the Student Systems and Records Office (SSRO) at the University of Sussex. We are seeking a highly numerate and analytical individual who, ideally, has an understanding of the HE sector or a similar service environment.
The primary responsibility of the post is to support the development of operational practices related to student data, management information and external statutory reporting. The role holder will work closely with colleagues from the Academic Registry, the academic schools and Information Technology Services.
If you have experience of managing data and are enthusiastic about working with students systems to deliver reporting and operational requirements, then this could be the ideal role for you. You will lead on the production of a number of external returns, therefore, previous exposure to any of the following statutory returns is essential:
- Student HESA return
- HESA ITT return
- Key Information Set (KIS) now Unistats.
You will need to work effectively as part of the SSRO team but will be expected to take responsibility for delivering reporting and ensuring that priorities are met. The ability to interpret complex rules and regulations unambiguously is also essential.
