Research Finance Administrator

Hours: Full time
Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2021
Salary: starting at £24,983 and rising to £28,936 per annum. It is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.

We are looking for an experienced, well-organised and self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to provide financial administrative support to a new NIHR-funded Global Health Research Unit with a budget of £5.75 million.
The successful applicant will:
- Be highly numerate and able to thrive in a multidisciplinary research environment that includes overseas partners.
- Be able to undertake day-today management of large budgets (e.g. preparing reports, monitoring project expenditure) within the terms of University accounting procedures and financial regulations.
- Provide a professional interface between the Unit and the Finance Division at the University of Sussex.
