This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a European Research Council funded project (project ‘TRANSMEM’), led by Dr Chris Bird, which aims to investigate how dynamic transformations between episodic and semantic memories underpin memory function in health and disease (www.sussex.ac.uk/psychology/memory/projects) . The post holder will join the Sussex Episodic Memory Group in the School of Psychology.
The research fellow will conduct research aiming to explore the hypothesis that our memory for events is a result of complex interactions between our direct experience and our knowledge about the world. The Research Fellow will primarily conduct analyses of existing functional MRI datasets, including functional connectivity and representational similarity analyses.
The Research Fellow should have a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Informatics or other cognate discipline. Expertise in fMRI analysis (including functional connectivity) is essential.
