We are looking to appoint a talented, efficient and experienced Deputy Postgraduate Admissions Officer to support the University’s Postgraduate Admissions process and to form part of the management team within the Admissions Office.
Working to the University’s Postgraduate Admissions Officers, the post holder will play a key role in ensuring the swift, fair and efficient processing of applications for Masters degrees.
The successful candidate will need a detailed knowledge of postgraduate admissions, as well as an understanding of the wider national issues facing the sector.
You will lead on advice around assessing international qualifications, so will have an in depth understanding of qualifications relevant to postgraduate entry.
You will support the Postgraduate Admissions Officers in the continual enhancement of postgraduate procedures and lead on the developments to the University’s online PG Apply service, by which students submit their applications.
With demonstrable experience in postgraduate taught admissions, strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service, you will support the wider team in ensuring an excellent applicant experience for those seeking to join Sussex.
Providing day-to-day management of the Postgraduate Admissions team, you will also have a proven track record of successfully line managing staff.
You will need to be proactive, positive and creative and able to respond well under pressure, whilst maintaining very close attention to detail and accuracy.
It is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.
