The University of Sussex is seeking to recruit an Academic Development and Quality Enhancement (ADQE) Manager. This exciting and varied post is based within the Academic Development and Quality Enhancement team which combines responsibilities for curriculum development, quality assurance and enhancement and the quality assurance and management of partnerships at home and overseas into a single coordinated service to support staff and students.
The post holder will be responsible for a portfolio of partner institutions, providing specialist advice to partner staff on curriculum development, quality assurance, assessment and other contractual and regulatory matters. The ADQE Manager will work in partnership with academic and professional services colleagues to provide advice, guidance and policy development that supports innovation and enhances the student experience for those studying at partner institutions. Simultaneously, the post holder will ensure quality assurance arrangements are aligned with institutional and external regulatory requirements, managing risk as appropriate.
Applicants should have experience in a similar role, within a higher education environment, and have expertise in the quality assurance of collaborative provision.
The post holder will report to the Deputy Head of Academic Quality and Enhancement (Partnership). Key working relationships include senior staff in partner institutions, the Head of Academic Development and Quality Enhancement, the Director for the Student Experience and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education and Students).
