An opportunity has arisen in the University Library for a Grade 5 Academic Services Supervisor. The post is full time and permanent.
The successful candidate will be based in the Learning and Teaching Support team of the Library’s Academic Services section. The Learning and Teaching Support team is responsible for library provision for students on undergraduate and taught postgraduate courses.
The post-holder will assist the Learning and Teaching Librarian with the provision of reading lists for all taught students; selecting and purchasing books and other resources.
They will also assist academics with the creation and editing on their online reading lists, dealing with enquiries and helping with advocacy and promotional events.
The post-holder will help with the delivery of teaching across all disciplines, through workshops and lectures within the Academic Schools. They will also support students on an individual basis via bookable 1-2-1 tutorials.
They will work with the Learning and Teaching Librarian to develop the Skills Hub, including editing online learning content and delivery of training to students to support their academic studies. They will also work with the Collection Development Librarians to supervise collection management projects and assist with the Library’s enquiry service.
Some weekend and evening work will be required.
