HCCS stands for Human Centred Computer Systems. It is a term used at Sussex University to describe an approach to understanding our interactions with computers which retain the person as the focus.
As you might imagine this is quite a diverse field of study and other terms are often used which have similar connotations. The most common ones tend to be HCI, Human Computer Interaction and CHI Computer and Human Interaction.
In this section there is information about some of the research currently going on at Sussex in the field as well as possible career directions.
